Today on the first event by lions club of Budasubba Dharan under the new president Sarita Gurung Rai has started with Charity Donation Programme sponsored by Harmit Charity Dharan had donated Rs. 10000/- to Newa Chairity Education Fund Dharan Run.

Newa Charity Education Fund Dharan Run
6th Anniversary
This year on 29th April, 2017 marked the sixth anniversary of Newa Charity Dharan Run. The event was celebrated by cutting cake at Yalambar Park before the regular run.
Newa Charity Education Fund
Dharan Run Samuha has today announced the establishment of Newa Charity Education Fund, Dharan Run, a reserve fund for helping poor children in their education. The fund is worth Rs. 250,000, out of which Rs. 150,000 was collected from the 6th Newa Charity 8K Run and Rs. 100,000 was donated individually by Mrs. Bhaktamaya Rai, mother of the founding president of Dharan Run, Mr. Santosh Rai.
The interest received in this fund money will be used to help poor children in their education need such as tuition fee, school uniforms, and stationery materials.

Support from Singapore Ex-Gurkhas
Singapore Ex-Gurkhas Foundation donated to Rs 40,000 for the prize money of 1st Male Open category of Dharan Run 5th Newa Chartiy 8km Run, which is going to be held on 25 February, 2017. The foundation also provided 10 pairs of running shoes for needful runners. Mr. Binod Rai from HK individually sponsored 4 pairs shoes for runners. Thank you all for your kind support.
8K Run 2073
Hi all!
We’re back again this year with the fifth edition of Newa Charity 8K Run event 2073, which is going to be held on 14th Falgun, 2073 (25th February, 2017).
The registration for the event is going on and Dharan Run Samuha, along with its volunteers, is doing massive campaign for the event. We have visited a number of local schools imparting information about the event and asking the school managements to arrange for their students participation in the run event.
Last year, we had more than 1700 runners in the run event. This year we’re expecting around 2000 runners. We heartily welcome each and everyone of you to participate in this biggest run event of Nepal.
